Born in Taumaranui in 1957, Ian K.S. Robertson has been a landscape artist for over 30 years in oils & acrylics, specialising in fast demonstration techniques and teaching. He has also been involved in design and display for film sets and museums with a heavy emphasis on form and sculpture.
Today he paints in acrylics and enamels vibrating between traditionalism and the modern, concentrating on simplified techniques. He is self taught and many of his pioneering techniques of oil and acrylic washes from the 1970's are prolific amongst artists today.
